Privacy Policy

1. What data we collect

MemoryDuel follows a privacy-first principle and collects as little data as possible:

• Local storage: game records, high scores, and training records are saved in your browser's localStorage and never leave your device.
• Anonymous battle data: if you play online battles, we generate a random UUID to identify your account for leaderboards and stats. This UUID is not linked to any personal identity.
• Anonymous stats: we may use privacy-friendly analytics (e.g. Plausible) to collect aggregate visits, with no IP addresses or personal identity.

2. What we do NOT collect

• We don't collect names, emails, phone numbers, or other personal identity (unless you contact us by email).
• We don't read your contacts or address book.
• We don't use third-party ads or behavioral tracking.
• We don't use Google Analytics or other tracking analytics.

3. Cookie usage

We may use one cookie (pid) to store an anonymous account ID for recognizing the same user on the leaderboard. You can clear browser cookies anytime.

4. Data storage & retention

Local training records stay in your browser and are deleted when you clear browser data. Battle leaderboard data is served by Cloudflare edge storage; aggregate stats are periodically purged.

5. Third-party services

We may use these third-party services:

• Plausible Analytics: a privacy-friendly analytics tool (no cookies, GDPR-compliant). See Plausible's data policy.
• Cloudflare: web hosting and CDN. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

6. Children's privacy

This site is for all ages. Since we collect no personal identity, COPPA or GDPR-K children's data issues don't apply.

7. Your rights

We collect very little data, mostly on your local device. You can:

• Clear browser localStorage anytime to delete local records
• Use incognito/private mode (no local records)
• Block Plausible Analytics (install an extension like uBlock Origin)

8. Data disclosure

We won't sell, rent, or share user data with third parties except where legally required.

9. Policy changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Major changes will be announced on the homepage.
